Puppy Dog Collar Ruby Red

Ruby, scaled down. Lightweight 15 mm nylon webbing in deep wine, the same burgundy undertone as the Classic, never crimson, never fire-engine. A personalized puppy collar embroidered with your dog's name in our Dutch studio: puppy-friendly fonts, a wide range of thread colors, up to ten characters.

Ruby looks especially right on small dogs with warmth in their coat: King Charles Cavaliers, Cockapoos, Cavachons, tan French Bulldogs, white-and-tan Jack Russells. Cream embroidery is the cleanest pairing on ruby; gold-yellow takes it dressier; black or espresso buttons it up.

The buckle and D-ring are zinc alloy, warm-toned, lighter-gauge, X-stitched reinforcement hand-checked in Veghel.

Care

Make it last

Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Hand-wash on cold, air-dry away from direct sun. Don't tumble-dry, don't bleach. Puppy collars get more dirt, rinse the webbing under a tap when they've been in mud, the color holds.

Questions we get the most

Will the collar grow with my puppy?

XS and S each give 10 to 15 cm of adjustment range. Most puppies use XS for 4 to 8 weeks, then move up to S for the rest of puppyhood. Small-breed adults stay in S; medium breeds graduate to the Classic Dog Collar line at around 5 to 6 months.

When can I switch from Puppy to Classic?

When your dog's neck reaches the bottom of the Classic S range (24 cm) or the Classic M range (32.5 cm), depending on adult size. Cavaliers and Frenchies usually stay in Puppy or Classic S forever; Labradors graduate to Classic M or L.

Can I personalize the Puppy collar?

Yes, with a choice of puppy-friendly fonts (Everest and Solmere) and the same thread colors as the Classic. Up to ten characters; shorter names look best on the smallest webbing.

Is this a good small dog collar?

It's the one we built for exactly that. The Puppy line is our small dog collar: 15 mm lightweight nylon, lighter hardware, the same embroidery as the Classic. Small-breed adults stay in it for life.

Is the hardware safe for chewers?

The zinc-alloy hardware is non-toxic and the X-stitch is glue-free. That said, no collar is chew-proof, if your puppy is in a heavy chewing phase, supervise around the collar and remove it for unsupervised crate time.
